Who We Are

The Campaign for All DC Families represents a diverse coalition of District of Columbia residents working to win and secure civil marriage equality.

OUR VISION

The Campaign envisions marriage equality as an important means to securing equal rights, enhancing quality of life and furthering the human rights legacy of all the people of the District of Columbia. We further believe that securing marriage equality contributes to community and economic stability, vibrancy, inclusiveness and ultimately the strength and health of the District.

WHAT WE DO

  • The Campaign for All DC Families coordinates with a diverse coalition of DC communities, organizations and residents to fulfill its mission to secure and protect the right to civil marriage equality for all DC residents.

  • The Campaign works with the DC council, residents of all backgrounds and economic strata, organizations and Congress to educate, influence and secure civil marriage equality based on home rule and respect for the city’s Human Rights Act.

  • The Campaign fosters collaboration between local and national organizations striving to support the Campaign’s mission.

  • The Campaign helps to facilitate communication and information sharing between local organizations, legislators and residents working toward securing and protecting civil marriage equality in the District of Columbia.

  • The Campaign builds alliances of inclusiveness and support among people of different sexual orientations, races and ethnicities, religious and secular beliefs and all economic strata, advocating for civil marriage equality and D.C. home rule.

  • The Campaign works to secure support from non-DC residents and entities that acknowledge and respect civil marriage and DC’s right to home rule.
